Looking for a getaway this holiday season that’s going to bring the whole family together for a memorable experience? If so, consider an Outer Banks vacation, and check out some of the following holiday activities to get your family in the holiday spirit this season.

Hanging with Santa and Kites with Lights, Nov. 24-25

Get the family together and head to Jockey’s Ridge State Park, one of the most popular and beloved landmarks on the Outer Banks, for Kitty Hawk Kite’s annual Kites with Lights event! The kids will love this outing, as Santa always makes an appearance in hopes of getting to fly a hang glider instead of a sleigh! Elizabethan Gardens Winter Lights, Nov. 25-Jan. 30

Stroll along enchanted garden paths and discover the joy of the season with holiday lights, sights and sounds transforming The Elizabethan Gardens into an illuminated winter wonderland. The radiant glow of the gardens, traditional holiday décor and fantastical displays are a true spectacle to behold. Festive trees grace the Gatehouse and Reception Hall and a crackling open-air fire warms the Great Lawn. For more information, click: here.

29th Annual Festival of Trees, Dec. 1-2

Festival of Trees is a unique community fundraiser that supports programming, services, shelter, training, information and resources to address domestic and sexual violence in the Outer Banks. This years Festival of Trees has a Monte Carlo theme, and will feature We will have Black Jack, Poker, Roulette, and Craps. Come out play some games win prizes and help a good cause at the Ramada Plaza. For more information, click: here.
