The current season is no exception as it celebrates 32 years of spotlighting the highest quality of entertainment here on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.




We're well into the 2015/2016 season, so that means you should peruse the lineup and see what this locally loved concert series has to offer before the season wraps up. Here's a short summary of the monthly performances. Buy your tickets now!




January features the Valinor Quartet


OBX ConcertsThe diverse cultural backgrounds of its members (USA, Russia, England) influences the stylistic diversity, range of technique, and overall unique performance that you won't soon forget. You'll find an eclectic mix of Beatles, Gypsy Jazz, Klenzer, movie soundtracks and tango among them. Enjoy the surprises along the way!




February features a Simon & Garfunkel Tribute




AJ Swearningen and Jayne Kelli unite as they reincarnate the music, memories and magic of one of America's favorite folk-rock duos. Intricate guitar playing combined with the harmony of vocals results in the true sound and spirit of Simon and Garfunkel right before your very eyes (and ears). You'll be transported back to the 60s to the Green Village coffeehouse performances of yesteryear.




March features the Tar River Swing Band


This 18-piece big band with four big band vocalists has a stunning repetoire that will have you toe tappin' and seat dancin'. You'll enjoy the sophisticated sounds and styles swing classics from the big band era reminiscent of Ellington, Basi, Dorsi and Goodman. Expect some jazz and beach music, too, all under the direction of Conductor Johnathan Wacker.



May features the Virgina Symphony


One of the nation's leading regional symphonies with a nationally acclaimed conductor graces the Outer Banks stage when the Virginia Symphony performs in May. This classical music performance is a highlight of the season and promises spectacular music from start to finish.




All of the Outer Banks Forum for the Lively Arts performances take place at the First Flight High School auditorium in Kill Devil Hills. Tickets are $28 per person, $15 for students 17 and under.
