Summer Events at The Lost Colony

The Lost Colony

More than 200 cast and crew members will perform The Lost Colony this summer. Show dates start on May 30 and conclude on August 22. The Lost Colony performance tells a historic story of the first English colony of the New World. About 120 people arrived on Roanoke Island in 1587, and these settlers later disappeared. The Lost Colony has been performed since 1937, and it explains the story of these colonists. Bring your family and friends to see the play during your vacations on the Outer Banks. You do not want to miss this musical about an important historic event right here on Roanoke Island.

Character Dinners

Character Dinners will take place Tuesday and Wednesday evenings this summer. Starting on June 3, you can have a tour backstage, a dinner before the show, and a Meet and Greet after the show. Talk to cast members, learn more about the show, and enjoy dinner backstage.
PNC Presents: Live at the Waterside Concert Series
This summer, concerts will be at the Waterside Theatre on Roanoke Island. Check the following shows and see if you can make it during your vacations on the Outer Banks!

  • Made in Carolina: Featuring The Red Clay Ramblers & Molasses Creek on June 29 at 7:30 p.m.

  • Marty Stuart & The Fabulous Superlatives on August 17 at 8 p.m.

How I Became a Pirate

Performances of the children's show, How I Became a Pirate, will begin on June 17. This performance is based on the book How I Became a Pirate. Bring your children to this exciting show and hear musical performances throughout the show. Follow the main character, Jeremy Jacob, as he joins pirates on an exciting adventure.
The Lost Colony hosts many events during the summer.
