June 2-4 6th Annual Tuna Round-Up - The Tuna Round-Up is the kick-off event for the Pirate's Cove Big Game Tournament Series. The tournament is held annually the weekend after Memorial Day, with registration on Thursday and fishing on Friday and Saturday Pirates Cove

June 11-12 29th Annual Rogallo Kite Festival - This kite festival celebrates the life and work of Francis Rogallo, inventor of the flexible wing. Without his invention, it may have taken decades more to discover hang gliding, kiteboarding, kites, stunt kites, power kites, parafoils, paragliders, and so much more. Kitty Hawk Kites

June 14,15,16 Cinderella - RIFP Children’s Series present Cinderella. Show is at 10:30am and is free and open to the public. Roanoke Island Festival Park

June 14-19 Carnival - Carnival at Windmill Point site in Nags Head - rides, games, food concessions, local vendors; carnival conducted by out-of-town firm Boardwalk Attractions but space provided for local vendors! June 14 at 10 am Opening Ceremonies, presentation of Town gift, Town Lightkeeper ceremony, Birthday Cake-cutting/eating, Raffle drawings (Raffle for homemade quilt Nags Head Ocean Waves designed/pieced/quilted by local quilters and jewelry from Jewelry by Gail)

June 21,22,23 The Country Mouse and the City Mouse - RIFP Children’s Series present The Country Mouse and the City Mouse. Show is at 10:30am and is free and open to the public. Roanoke Island Festival Park

June 28-August 4 Duck Summer Music Series - This popular evening concert series returns for its fifth season with concerts on Thursday nights ONLY. For eight weeks, local musical groups will take the stage at the Duck Town Park Gazebo. The free concerts are from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings. June 23rd kicks off the event with The Rajun Cajuns Concert Series Calendar

June 29-July 1 Sandsculpture Festival - A professional sandsculpture company will be on hand to sculpture a huge sand creation. There will be fun events, raffles, and entertainment all day long at Kitty Hawk Sports at Jockey's Ridge Crossing shopping center across from Jockey's Ridge MP 12 1/2 in Nags Head, This is a benefit for the prevention of skin cancer.

June 30-July 1 Small Fry Fishing Competition - The Small Fry Tournament is family fun time! Held annually around the 4th of July. Two categories of fishing for children 3-8 and 9-15. The entry fee is nominal and includes a t-shirt and lunch! Trophies are presented in each category for the largest fish caught. Target species are spot, bluefish, trout and flounder. Pirates Cove
