EVP Pro Volleyball Beach Tour Coming to Nags Head
Each year, for those planning vacations on the Outer Banks events seem to be more of a priority for timing. The islands gain a little more activity in terms of events and activities that come to our barrier islands. Even though much of our activities are based around fishing and surfing, we are lucky enough to have the perfect beaches for another great outdoor sport: beach volleyball. And what better way to truly say goodbye to spring and hello to summer than with the return of the EVP Pro Volleyball Beach Tour.
An Overview of the EVP Pro Am
The EVP Outer Banks Pro Am is set to take place Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head. In addition to the volleyball pros that travel with the tour, anyone who loves to play volleyball is encouraged to register and be part of the event.
Professional beach volleyball teams from all over the US are on the roster to attend and compete at on the OBX for a purse of more than $5,000 in cash and prizes. On top of that, there are other levels of competition for boys and girls with chances to win great prizes from the Tour and participating sponsors.
The tournament consists of teams of two players competing against the same in an elimination style competition. In addition, players and spectators can meet the pros, participate in contests and spend a day on the beach. What could be better than that!
The location of the EVP Pro Am could not be any better than at Jennette’s Pier. The beach is wide and, not only can it accommodate several volleyball courts, provides lots of room for spectators.
EVP Pro Volleyball Beach Tour
Since 1994, The EVP Beach Volleyball Tour has worked hard to promote the excitement and energy that is associated with beach volleyball. Their main objective is to support beach volleyball events as great way to allow families, volleyball enthusiasts, athletes, students, communities and sponsors to take part in an activity that brings them to the beach. To come watch the event, there is absolutely no admission which makes it an even more family-friendly activity. For those planning to play, registration and details are available by clicking here.
