Jockey’s Ridge State Park

The Nature Conservancy Nags Head Woods Preserve
Phone: (252) 441-2525(252) 441-2525Leashed pets are allowed on the lightly traveled road running through the Preserve. Pets are not allowed on the trails. Leashes required with no length requirement.

The Wright Brothers National Memorial
Phone: (252) 441-7430(252) 441-7430Home of the first powered flight. Leashed pets are welcome on the grounds, but not in the buildings. Leashes not to exceed six (6) feet in length.

Whalehead Club Currituck Heritage Park
Phone: (252) 453-9040(252) 453-9040Thirty-nine acres of historic property in Corolla, NC. Includes restored Whalehead Club & Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. Pets welcome on grounds. Leashes required. Please clean up after your pets.

Cape Hatteras National Seashore
Phone: (252) 473-2111(252) 473-2111Southward from the US-64 and NC-12 junction. Welcomes dogs year-round. They must be on leashes not exceeding six feet in length. They must also be under control at all times.

Roanoke Island Festival Park
Phone: (252) 475-1500(252) 475-1500Located across from the Manteo waterfront, the park includes living history exhibits, a life-size replica of a 16th century ship, and plays host to a busy calendar of events and art shows. Dogs must be leashed and are allowed along the boardwalks only.

Rick's Jeep Adventures
Dogs are allowed in the Jeeps on these 2 hour guided tours down the beach to see the wild horses. Tour guide was great and you will likely spot over a dozen horses. Well worth the money!

American Pie We ate at the "American Pie" across the street from our hotel, and it was fantastic. We were allowed to bring the dogs while we ate on the patio. The waitstaff was wonderful. A great Dog Friendly place to eat!

Johns Drive In
Located in Kitty Hawk on the Beach RoadJohn's Drive-In scoops us a yummy array of ice cream flavors, making it a refreshing way to share a car-ride with your pup.
